How to Request Data Deletion
Follow these three steps to submit your data deletion request. We aim to complete all requests within 30 days.
Compose an email to our support team
Send an email to support@luxorae.ae from the email address associated with your Luxorae account.
Use the subject line exactly as shown
Set your email subject to: Data Deletion Request
This ensures your request is routed to our privacy team immediately.
Include your account details in the email body
Please include the following so we can locate your data accurately:
- Your full name
- The email address registered with Luxorae
- Your Instagram username (if connected) and/or Facebook Page name
- Whether you want to delete only your Facebook/Instagram data, or all Luxorae account data
Confirmation: We will send you a confirmation email within 3 business days acknowledging your request. Your data will be fully deleted within 30 days of receiving your complete request. You will receive a final confirmation once deletion is complete.
Revoke Access Directly via Facebook
You can also immediately revoke Luxorae's access to your Facebook and Instagram accounts without emailing us:
- Log in to your Facebook account.
- Go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Apps and Websites.
- Find "Luxorae" in the list of connected apps.
- Click Remove and confirm.
This immediately revokes Luxorae's access token and stops all automated publishing. To also delete the data Luxorae has already stored, please follow the email process above.
What Data Luxorae Stores from Facebook & Instagram
When you connect your Instagram Business Account or Facebook Page to Luxorae, we store the following data in order to provide the service:

We do not store your Facebook or Instagram passwords. We do not store private messages, story replies, comments from followers, or any data beyond what is listed above.
What Happens After Your Data Is Deleted
Important: Deleting your Facebook/Instagram data from Luxorae will permanently disconnect your Instagram and Facebook accounts from the Platform. All scheduled posts will be cancelled and automatic publishing will stop.
Here is exactly what happens when we process your data deletion request:
- Your Facebook OAuth access token is permanently deleted from our database and all backup systems within 30 days.
- Your Instagram Account ID, username, and Facebook Page ID are removed from your Luxorae profile.
- All records of posts published via Luxorae to your Instagram/Facebook account are deleted.
- Any media files (images, videos) uploaded to Luxorae that have not yet been published are deleted.
- Your analytics data (follower counts, engagement metrics retrieved from Instagram) is deleted.
- Any scheduled or queued posts are permanently cancelled and will not be published.
Content already published to Instagram/Facebook: Luxorae can only delete data held on our systems. Content that has already been published to Instagram or Facebook remains on those platforms under Meta's control. To remove published posts, you must do so directly within Instagram or Facebook.
If you request deletion of all Luxorae account data (not just Facebook/Instagram data), your entire account — including your profile, business information, subscription records, and all stored content — will also be deleted, subject to the retention periods required by UAE law (e.g., billing records must be retained for 5 years under UAE commercial law).
Scope of Deletion Requests
We offer two types of deletion:

| Facebook / Instagram data only | OAuth tokens, account IDs, usernames, post records, analytics data, and media files associated with your Instagram/Facebook connection. Your Luxorae account remains active but without social media connectivity. |
| Full account deletion | Everything above, plus your Luxorae account profile, business information, all stored content, and subscription records (except legally required billing records). |

Your Privacy Rights
This data deletion process is part of your broader privacy rights under the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (UAE PDPL). You also have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Restrict how we use your data in certain circumstances;
- Object to certain types of processing;
- Receive your data in a portable format.
